  1. How does Christ’s death on the cross free you from having to “punish yourself” for your sins, failures, and flaws?

  2. Death is unavoidable for every human, but Jesus has conquered death. How do these truths challenge you? How do they comfort and encourage you?

  3. Jesus’ return is a day of great dread for the non-Christian, but a day of great joy for a Christian. Why?

Prayer Points

  1. Pray that we would grow more secure in Christ’s finished work on the cross, and that we would not feel the need to try to add to his sacrifice.

  2. Pray that Jesus would return soon and bring his kingdom in full.

  3. Pray for those who are not Christians, that they would come to know the freedom that is found in Christ’s death and resurrection.
