Saturday, August 24th a group of 13 people from Sound City joined Michael Ellmer for a hike to Summerland. The 12 mile hike offered the opportunity to visit beautiful Mount Rainier in partnership together. It was a time of fellowship, basking in God’s creation.
Reflecting on the hike, Michael said, “I think that one of the coolest things that happened was people from the church interacting with others that they might not normally interact with. It was very encouraging to be able to see that happen as we hiked through the majestic scenery that we encountered. It was a unique experience and a blessing from the Lord to be a part of it and share it with the group.”
Isn’t God so good? In the midst of all the beauty of creation, it’s his work of redemption that shines brightest – in Jesus rescuing you and me. The hikers got to experience that through their love for one another, united in Christ.
Let’s pray now, thanking God for his work of redemption in our lives, bringing our praises and requests to God. He’s the God who created the mountains, hung the stars in the sky, and clothes the wildflowers in splendor. Nothing is too small, and nothing is too great for our strong and loving Savior.
