Celebrating | Evidences of God's Grace, Through Biblical Community

This week we’re celebrating the evidence of God’s grace shown through the love, care, kindness, and provision of the church for one church member in need. The story of Casi—which we celebrated during morning services last Sunday—gives us a glimpse…

Celebrating | Foster Parent Dedications

Celebrating | Foster Parent Dedications

Throughout the Old Testament and New Testament, God invites us to love and care for widows and orphans. One of the primary ways that Christians in the American suburbs can live out this biblical command is to get involved in the foster care system. This past Sunday, we were able to pray over three Sound City Bible Church families who are doing just that.

Celebrating | "Fragments of Truth" Discipleship Event

Did you know that the earliest copies of the New Testament manuscripts that we have were probably copied while the original autographs penned by the Apostles were still being circulated? We learned about this, and lots of other amazing (albeit nerdy) things about God’s Word, at this discipleship event!

Good Friday and Easter Update

Pastor Aaron gives an update on what is happening for Good Friday and Easter Sunday at Sound City.

Also, the orchestra pit that is mentioned will be down for two Sundays: March 18 and 25. Parents of younger children should keep a watchful eye on them for those weeks. Thank you!

New Year Financial Update

New Year Financial Update

In December, we shared a brief update to let you know where we were financially as a church, where we see God leading us, and how you can participate in the mission God has given us. We invited Deacon Dale (catchy, huh?) to join us to give an update now that we've crossed over into the new year.

You Will Know Them By Their Fruits

You Will Know Them By Their Fruits

As a church, we seem to have an ongoing theme of ‘fruitfulness’ showing up a lot lately. Fruitfulness is most certainly something to celebrate and pursue—for all of us as individuals as we walk out our faith, and as a church body. Not all fruit is good fruit, however. In fact, Jesus himself tells us to take note of the fruit that people produce, including being cautious of ‘bad fruit’ (Matthew 7:15–20).
