Each year we’ve set out the giving trees, we’ve been blown away by God’s grace shown through the generosity of the people at Sound City. This year is no different! We were able to raise over $7000 dollars in gift cards for DCYF and Vision House. Sound City, thank you for your generosity and living out our call to care for those in need.
How Can We Be Missional This Halloween?
What Does Transparency Mean?
As a church family, we place a high value on relationships and community. Community can be expressed in a variety of ways—different types and sizes of groups—but we desire that all expressions of community would live out a series of values. Of the seven core values of community that we have adopted at Sound City, one of the more critical, challenging, and misunderstood values is the “commitment to transparency.”
Celebrating | Sound City Golf Scramble
We had three major goals for this event: Relationally, we wanted to deepen the relationships between the people of our church. Missionally, we wanted to invite our friends, co-workers, neighbors, and raise money for Sound City's upcoming mission trip to Uganda. Recreationally, we wanted everyone to have fun! Suffice to say, all three goals were met and God exceeded our expectations.
Celebrating | Community Group Outreach BBQ
In our corner of the Pacific Northwest, it can be hard to plan outdoor events due to the weather. Regardless, on a recent rainy Summer afternoon, one Sound City community group assembled to share love and friendship with neighbors. It is certainly worth celebrating!
