The north Puget Sound, the suburban communities between Seattle and Everett, is a unique region. Many people live close to each other, but commute to more urban areas for work, and this distance and disconnect is too often true about our local churches as well. Today we’re celebrating a recent partnership between Sound City and Alderwood Community Church, as we gathered together on Friday night with other area churches to live out the unity that Jesus prays for us all to have.
The evening was filled with the voices of God’s children lifting up in song, as worship services were led by our own Pete Wilson, as well as his brother and Alderwood’s worship leader, Tim Wilson. The band was filled out by a mixture of Alderwood and Sound City musicians, coming together to praise and unite others through song. We also spent much time in prayer, led by two pastors from each of the churches. The focus of our prayers was on unity between our area churches, for greater evangelism to reach our neighbors who have not yet been saved, and for redemption in our local cities and towns in areas we see suffering and affliction, including homelessness, addiction, and foster care.
Please join us as we continue to lift up these prayers, as well as in thanksgiving to Alderwood Community Church for their partnership in and hosting of this event. We are thankful to serve alongside them in the north Puget Sound region. Check out the video below for more from the incredible worship and prayer night.
