This October, a small team from our church family will be traveling to a remote village in Uganda on a short-term mission trip. We will be serving alongside HEED Uganda, a mission organization that was started by one of Sound City's very own Covenant Members. While in Uganda one of our primary missions will be medical outreach, specifically to help fight against Malaria. Malaria is one of the highest causes of death in this region. We are hoping to reach around 1,000 people, including school children and their families, and even the surrounding villages and communities.
How You Can Help
Our goal is to raise $5,000 for our medical outreach. Approximately every $10 you donate will help one person. Some of the things your money will be helping with is:
Testing people for Malaria
Treating those who test positive
Providing a basic medical check-up
Medication for other illnesses
Providing education to help in Malaria prevention
Providing mosquito nets for Malaria prevention
