While baby dedication is not one of the official ordinances of the church, we see examples of the practice in scripture (1 Samuel 1:11, Luke 2:22). Even our Lord Jesus was dedicated as a child! At Sound City Bible Church we don't practice infant baptism, but we do celebrate their birth with their parents by inviting parents to bring their little ones up on stage to introduce them to the church family.

Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly pledge to raise their children in a God-honoring way (Proverbs 22:6) and for the church family to pledge to support them in the work of raising children (Galatians 6:2).
