In the Pacific Northwest, it is not common to share meals with people that you just met. We tend to value privacy and individuality more than hospitality. But in the Bible, hospitality is held in high regard, and much of that hospitality takes place around a meal. So, in an effort to encourage hospitality, relationships, and connection, Sound City will be doing a four-week "Sunday Lunch Challenge."

Here's how it works

1. Introduce yourself to someone that you don't know.
2. Ask them if they would like to have lunch together once the church gathering is over.
3. Then, have lunch with them! Wasn't that easy?

During these four weeks, we are encouraging people to try to connect with 2-3 individuals or families from the church that they don't yet know. We will be collecting stories and finding ways to share how people were encouraged, challenged, and grown through the process.
