In years past Sound City has been privileged to take a short term mission team to the Baja peninsula in Mexico. This year, the COVID pandemic has disrupted that trip. While we prayerfully wait for the Lord to clear the way for international missions and travel, we have a special opportunity for those interested in learning more about our international mission partner in Baja.

We will be doing a virtual mission trip where we can provide encouragement to our friends at Foundation for His Ministry during this difficult season. We will pray for them and and let them know that we are still thinking about them from a distance until we can see them and serve them again.

This event is also a chance to learn more about the mission for those who have considered joining us on one of these trips. Kids and families are welcome. We want believers of all ages to grow in their awareness of their brothers and sisters in Christ all across the globe and to be inspired to reach out to those outside of our own church family. This will be a fun opportunity to do just that, and we know everyone who attends will leave the event informed and encouraged about what the Lord is doing through the work in Baja.

We will also be holding a toothbrush and toothpaste drive. Our friends at the mission are very short on these items, and we are excited to be able to help in a tangible way. We are asking people to donate toothbrushes and toothpaste that we can then mail to the mission. You can drop off your donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste at the church on Sunday 2/14 and Sunday 2/21 or bring them to the Virtual Mission Trip on Friday 2/26.
