The north Puget Sound, the suburban communities between Seattle and Everett, is a unique region. Many people reside in the area, but then commute for work: down to Seattle for Amazon, up to Everett for Boeing, or over to Redmond for Microsoft. The suburban sprawl means that the various cities—Edmonds, Lynnwood, Brier, Mountlake Terrace, etc.—all blend into one another, leaving the north sound without a strong, distinct identity of its own. Many people live close to each other, but they don’t really know each other. Therefore, they are left longing for relationship, community, and, ultimately, to know the love of God.
Unfortunately, this distance is too often true about our local churches. Even though we have geographic proximity, we often fail to live out the unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17. This fall, Alderwood Community Church and Sound City Bible Church are partnering to bring churches together from all over the north sound for a time of worship and prayer. The format will be straightforward and the goal simple: to pray that Jesus would unify his body in the north sound so that lost people can meet Jesus and so that the brokenness of our region would find healing in him.
No registration is needed, simply come ready to sing and pray. If you want to, feel free to invite friends and family from other churches in the north sound area to join us!
