What a joyful night December 23rd was! The Eve of the Eve service was filled with the sounds of children singing, laughter, and the quiet hum of the crowd, as we listened to the the good news of Jesus’ birth through the lens of the “Magnificat”—Mary’s song of praise in Luke chapter 1.
The auditorium at Lynnwood High School was standing room only. Parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors packed in to hear the exuberant singing of the Kids Choir. The children singing “loudly and joyfully about the birth of our savior, Jesus” was “the highlight of the evening,” Pastor Aaron said.
After the service, decked in sparkles, sweaters, and scarves we threw a dessert potluck and captured the moment for posterity in the Christmas photo booth.
As we turn our attention to 2020, let’s thank God for the many blessings he has given us. Most of all, for sending Jesus to save us.
